Imagine for youth donated 140 backpacks to Grant Wood Elementary. Each backpack was stuffed with an ample amount of school supplies.

Youth Backpack Drive – 2018

September 15, 2018
  • IMagINe for Youth provided 144 backpacks stuffed with notebooks, folders, pencils, pens, crayons, highlighters, rulers, erasers, glue, pencil pouches and pencil sharpeners to the students of Kirkwood Elementary School which is part of the Iowa City Community School District in Coralville, Iowa.
  • The “In” team for the Sept. 15, 2018 event included the United Way of Johnson & Washington counties which helped generate donations, the University of Iowa Department of Intercollegiate Staff & Athletic Administration which covered expenses for the school supplies and Andre and Rachel Dawson who stuffed and distributed all of the backpacks.

  • Imagine founder Micah Hyde was joined by Buffalo Bills teammates Lorenzo Alexander (57), Brandon Reilly (89), Jordan Poyer (21), Mathew Milano (58) and Siran Neal (29) in distributing 150 backpacks to youngsters at the Boys & Girls Club in Buffalo.
  • Supplies, which were contributed by Eaton Office Supply, provided each of the 150 backpacks with a notebook, folders, box of pencils, pens, crayons, markers, rulers, scissors, glue, pencil pouches and autographed photo of Micah Hyde.
